Master D loves to paint. He loves getting his hands in the paint and mixing up the colours. Our painting this week was all about the letter 'B'. We painted with bubbles, balloons and Master D & Little Miss Q's bottoms! Sound a bit crazy?! You're probably right, but we sure had fun with lots of laughter :-)

Balloon painting - looks like a bunny! |
Once we had their bottom prints done (and they were all cleaned up) they used their fingers to make patterns on their butterfly wings (with lots of help for Little Miss Q). Here is the end result (I cut them out and stuck them together):

Master D's turned out really well. Little Miss Q's lil bottom prints didn't work quite as well, I think yellow wasn't the best choice for her little bot.
Let us know what you think, Kelly
That's the funniest idea I've seen in a while, hahaha! Love it. Thanks for linking it up! :-)

ReplyDelete:-) glad we were able to share our fun and an excited welcome to Vicky, Michelle and Brooke!!
ReplyDeleteAny suggestions on what paint to use or how to get a good print? My family will think I'm crazy :)
ReplyDeleteoh my. Now that is some fun creative painting! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny :-) We used crayola washable finger paint which washes off super fast and easily. I painted their bots with a brush and then Master D sat on the paper that was on the floor. With Little Miss Q we had to place her on the paper, and I think that is why the prints aren't as clear. Good luck with it (and my family thought I was crazy too, but had lots of fun doing it!) - I'd love to see your butterflies, Kelly
ReplyDeleteThose are adoreably cute! I would have never thought of it! How creative!
ReplyDeleteHaha! That is AWESOME!! Totally made me smile - my kids would be laughing hysterically... I have to do this! Found you at Living Life Intentionally Linky Party.

ReplyDeleteKel, this is too gorgeous. Did you make one too? (hee hee)
ReplyDeleteI don't understand...So how to do the bubble and balloon paintings...also, how to paint with their bottoms?
ReplyDeleteHi Kit, to paint with bubbles we added a drop of food dye to some bubble mix. Master D then used a straw to blow bubbles and we placed paper on top of them. For the balloon paintings we just placed paint on a plate and used blown up balloons instead of paint brushes. And for their bottoms I painted them with a brush (using washable finger paint) and Master D sat on paper, while we placed Little Miss Q on the paper. Hope this helps :-)
