Milk paint on wood

I love the colours you can get in milk paint; gorgeous earthy reds, greens, yellows and blues. I imagine you might be able to make your own, but we are using Gallagher's.

I was using them to paint some winter gnomes (more on that another day) when Master D picked up a brush and asked to join in. So we found him some wood and he got painting :-)


While using the slate blue he said 'these have lovely colours mum'. Although he seemed to favour the red brown colour. This is what he created:

    What an awesome idea to let kids experiment with painting on different surfaces. I have never even heard of milk paint- guess I'll have to do some research :)
