Painting glass

We love painting and are always on the lookout for new ways to do it! So when I came across a post about stained glass windows - I thought - we've got to try that. Mind you, we have gone a fair bit simpler and more 'freestyle' here :-)

We used the glass from some photo frames that I bought at a local $2 shop and some lovely acrylic paint mixed with pva glue (1:1). Master D loved the bright vibrant colours and swirling them around on the glass.

And I even got in on the action :-) Aren't they pretty!

Warm wishes, Kelly

  12. Neat, neat project. So you mixed the paint with some glue? That probably helps to create transulancy?

  13. Hi Miss Moe, yes we did mix the acrylic paint with pva glue with a ratio of 1:1, and it did help with the translucency - good luck with them, they were great fun! Kelly

  15. I really like them. Do you have a way to hang them in your windows? I am trying to imagine how to do that without a hole cut in them. Thanks for sharing on Monday Madness. I love all your posts.
