A backyard scavenger hunt

Dino Boy had a big idea recently...

He wanted to go on a....Scavenger Hunt!!
{I'm not even sure where he got the idea}

We took a colour approach first up...
...which was perfect for the end of Spring

It was lovely watching him flitting around the backyard...
exclaiming about different colours and what treasure he had found!

Even Wookie got in on the action...
excited by the searching and seeking behind things, under things and all around

And what lovely things they were!
Happily added to our nature table... or Dino Boy's treasure collection *smile*

Happy days,
Kelly

  2. Can you believe we've never been on an outdoor scavenger hunt? Crazy, I know :) And I know how much Jack would love it and Sarah knows a few words too now. Maybe we should just go. It'll be fun :)

  7. Your garden is just so full of colour! Isn't it great seeing where kids ideas take them! I think we will have to do a backyard hunt before the holidays finish up.

  8. Our boys are always drawing maps for each other to discover things in the garden - but I've never considered suggesting colours. Great idea!
