My favourite handmade item is generally the last one I've made...
♡
And this holds true for my rainbow felt horse *smile*
I am so happily surprised at how well he turned out!
{I used the pattern from Creative Play for your toddler}
I'm actually itching to make another!
But then I look at the calendar and realise that over the next seven weeks...
{yes seven weeks!}
...I have a few items on my crafting list!
So I settled on knitting another up
{I still find knitting them up quicker at the moment!}
Mmmm... but that gorgeous rainbow felt is calling to me *smile*
Happy crafting,
Kelly
They are both beautiful. For me there is no way I could knit nearly fast enough therefore blanket stitch is my friend :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ronnie, I am newer to hand sewing so at the moment I'm the opposite! I am enjoying blanket stitch now though :-)
DeleteHello from another Kelly! I love the look of the knitted one (probably because I can't knit very well but wish I could!)
ReplyDeleteHello Kelly :-) thanks for your lovely comment, luckily this pattern is super easy to follow and a great project for newer knitters :-)
DeleteI love these horses! I will have to check out the pattern because I do knw how to knit (crocheting still evades me)!
ReplyDeleteOh me too, I've tried a few times to pick up crocheting, but think I need an actual project to try it on!
DeleteI love the rainbow felt! How could anyone resist? I have yet to knit up a horse but I'm planning on trying for Christmas gifts. I hope mine look as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteI know, isn't it beautiful, when I came across it I simple couldn't ;-) Good luck with your knitting, I'm sure it will turn out beautifully!
DeleteAny child would love these!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right Karen, and I suspect you are ;-)
DeleteOoh I love rainbow felt and wool! Really nice horses, wish I had your sewing and knitting talents! Thanks for linking them up to Sharing Creative Ideas.
ReplyDelete~ joey ~
I've only picked them up in the last year, and I think if I could do it anyone can :-) (I was very un-crafty only a year ago!)
DeleteOh my goodness my daughter would love these!
ReplyDeleteThey are lots of fun to make, I think when my kids are older they'd probably enjoy making one themselves too :-)
DeleteOh that felt is beautful!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just! Rather irresistible :-)
DeleteGorgeous! I am the opposite though. I just finished sewing a pair of slippers from felted wool because it was faster than knitting up a pair.
ReplyDeleteI do love the rainbow felt you used. I have never seen that before. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Natalie, and a pair of slippers sounds lovely :-)
DeleteWow! They aer both beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteReally pretty! I make horses out of up-cycled wool sweaters, so I'll have to blog about that soon and share with you. I used to sell them at Waldorf fairs. You can't go wrong with horses. Yours are lovely. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to do it Kerri, I'd love to see how you do it :-)
DeleteThank you for sharing at Sharing Saturday!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank Becca x
